I waited for 30 minutes before I left. I was seated at the counter and could watch all of the orders going out to the cars. Obviously the drive in take top priority. Unfortunately I can't talk so I can't use the drive thru. The food looked good but I never tasted it. I will not be back. The servers were great - the problem is the manager. She would not even comp my drink after I had to wait for the staff to find her (another 5 minutes) Go to Panara Bread across the street.

Unfortunately this particular location consistently makes watered down shakes in comparison to the others. They are watery the moment they are delivered, which usually takes quite awhile to receive. I've at times waited through my entire meal to receive my shake and not once been checked on by the staff. Last week I was at this location with my family and the waitress yelled at other customers to get out of her way, then rudely shouted at the table of people next to us to be quiet while she takes orders from us. Even at minimum wage, this waitress should deliver politeness to all patrons. I'm very disappointed that the manager after all this time has not addressed the issues of good service and watered down shakes.

Went in for breakfast. 1 waitress for the whole dining area and 4 people working the drive thru / grill. We ordered our food and a hot chocolate and a coffee. Took a little long to bring us the drinks. The food took a little long to arrive. When I was done with my coffee, it took long for them to refill it. When I went to pay, nobody was at the counter for me to pay. I only go to this establishment because it's close to home and my daughter loves the shakes and chili.

Yes this place has shakes and burgers, but they have something else they are not normally known for - breakfast. Although their breakfast is pretty good, the lunch and dinner prices are what keep me coming back. Great forbpre teens and teens with a grown taste and the shakes are out of this world. They have an under $4.00 menu that you can't beat and the rest of the menu does not go over $10.00 for a single item. Good food and good service

So many think that they should get the same service, food and drink they pay twice as much for at other places! NOT!!! This was my first time at this location, It was Friday 3/13/2015 I walked in and ordered two burgers, fries and shakes to go, The time was 5:50 PM and they were very busy, I received my order in 10 - 15 minutes and with a smile. I went home and my wife and I had a hot and tasty meal. The service was great and the place was clean, I will be back.

I always come to this restaurant to eat. The service is always up and down but tolerable. I don't normally write on Yelp but I felt compel to do it this time. The lobby was extremely dirty when I came in and I mean dirty. I counted a total of 12 dirty tables fill with plates, glasses and dirt napkins. I ordered a bowl of chili and a Taco salad. The taco salad was ok but I showed the waitress that the chili was just unacceptable. It looked like mud. I place that plate upside down and the chili wouldn't move.

Went to lunch today. Waiter Joey was pretty good. Dining area dirty. Syrup still on our table. Then another patron walks in with a little lap dog which he sits next to him in the booth across from us. I was mortified that this animal was sitting at the table. The waitress then brings the man a drink and one for the dog and asks if he needs a bowl. WHAT??? This man an his dog were served before we were and the dog even got a burger which the man cut up and set down for the dog to eat. We finally got our order which I might add was wrong, but I guess that nasty dog was happy so all is good. :( Needless to say that will be the last time I go to lunch there!!!!

In the two times I've been in to pick up a carryout order for my boyfriend, I've been unimpressed with the customer service/lack of courtesy of employees, as well as the cleanliness of both the dining area and restroom. Yet, the food is good and it's always crowded, which might be a testament to its pros (albeit the latter might be a "con" depending on your preferences). I just came in tonight and there wasn't a long wait in front of the register (one patron), yet it took quite awhile to place my order, as the manager, a blonde man in his 30s, was fooling around with one of the employees at the front register. Two adult men. I stood there, awkwardly, for about a minute before I was even acknowledged (after asking whether I could place an order, lol). I ordered a pretty basic "two single burgers with everything"--but the manager rung them up as doubles and tried to charge me considerably more. Probably an honest mistake, but had he not been goofing off with the other employee, it probably could've been avoided. To make it more awkward, there was an off-duty employee sitting next to the register on the patron side, half in uniform, STARING at me the whole time, especially when I first walked in. It was very weird and I still have no idea what that was about. I know that it's "just Steak n Shake"...but it was unwelcoming and kinda bizarre. Next, the restroom. I have an unofficial "rule" about this I've learned from friends who are cooks: never eat at a restaurant that has a dirty restroom, as the kitchen is most likely kept the same/cleaned (or not) about as often. Well, let me say I wouldn't have eaten here if Cape Coral were the desert and I had been crawling through it looking for food and water for upwards of a week. Yuck! Dried-up feces splattered all over the backs of both toilets. I ended up just grabbing my SO's food and peacing out of there. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Well this was the first time my wife has ever been to a Steak & Shake. She had a burger with the egg on top. Tasty .Also enjoyed the unique thin fries. Me the classic triple burger dragged through the garden... GOOD but oohh so messy. mmmmmmm :-) I liked it. . The only issue was the speed. A check of time stamp , the order was made at 1034 am. We did not receive our order until 1055 am. A bit long. The place was MAYBE half full. Our server Krisiti did a great job.

If you have had a problem with the service here before, no need to go crazy. Just simply request Kevin as your server and you won't be disappointed! 12/23/14 went to Steak and Shake at 11:55 p.m to crave my hunger. upon arriving at the drive thru there was one car in front of me next to the window, after about 15 minutes the car drove off which I proceeded to come up to the window, and was greeted by the drive through teller asking me if the car in front of me I drove all which I replied yes. she left and after about a minute or two came back and proceeded to tell me that their system was down ( even though she had already taken my order) and that she was going to get my food.. she never repeated back my original order which I imagine she had known.. after another 15 minutes of not seeing her I proceeded to drive off. so in total were looking at half an hour for a burger and fries which is just ridiculous when there was nobody in front of me.. there's no reason for this and this place has really fallen off never greeted by a manager to explain anything to me and actually got a pretty dirty look from one of their waitresses name melody.. save yourself a trip go somewhere else.

This is the worst managed Steak 'n Shake I have ever visited. We stood waiting to be seated for a long time while we watched many workers taking their time frolicking around. Once we were seated we waited forever for our water and never got napkins until the meal was over and we had to ask for them. When we went up to pay we were once again ignored and had to wait to pay. I was actually tempted to walk out without paying, but resisted and waited until someone finally came to let me pay. The manager here is clueless. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Being in customer service, it's completely unprofessional not to at least greet someone and give them a time frame of service. Sat for 10+ minutes in certain situations with our menus closed I may add, with no even eye contact. No drinks, a simple hi, NOTHING. Don't mind the food, that's why we keep coming back. But no more. Not worth the aggravation. Looking around it's completely disorganized, waitresses not knowing what tables to cover. Shift trainers and managers barely doing walk arounds. On tonight's visit, we were finally asked by a shift trainer how everything was (mind you typing this comment, that's how long I was sitting along with my family) after sitting for 9 minutes with no one attending us and I made myself clear of my situation. Still no one here at this place opens their eyes. I'm done being a customer here.

Yes this place has shakes and burgers, but they have something else they are not normally known for - breakfast. Although their breakfast is pretty good, the lunch and dinner prices are what keep me coming back. Great forbpre teens and teens with a grown taste and the shakes are out of this world. They have an under $4.00 menu that you can't beat and the rest of the menu does not go over $10.00 for a single item. Good food and good service

So many think that they should get the same service, food and drink they pay twice as much for at other places! NOT!!! This was my first time at this location, It was Friday 3/13/2015 I walked in and ordered two burgers, fries and shakes to go, The time was 5:50 PM and they were very busy, I received my order in 10 - 15 minutes and with a smile. I went home and my wife and I had a hot and tasty meal. The service was great and the place was clean, I will be back.

I always come to this restaurant to eat. The service is always up and down but tolerable. I don't normally write on Yelp but I felt compel to do it this time. The lobby was extremely dirty when I came in and I mean dirty. I counted a total of 12 dirty tables fill with plates, glasses and dirt napkins. I ordered a bowl of chili and a Taco salad. The taco salad was ok but I showed the waitress that the chili was just unacceptable. It looked like mud. I place that plate upside down and the chili wouldn't move.

Then another patron walks in with a little lap dog which he sits next to him in the booth across from us. I was mortified that this animal was sitting at the table. The waitress then brings the man a drink and one for the dog and asks if he needs a bowl. WHAT??? This man an his dog were served before we were and the dog even got a burger which the man cut up and set down for the dog to eat. We finally got our order which I might add was wrong, but I guess that nasty dog was happy so all is good. :( Needless to say that will be the last time I go to lunch there!!!!

In the two times I've been in to pick up a carryout order for my boyfriend, I've been unimpressed with the customer service/lack of courtesy of employees, as well as the cleanliness of both the dining area and restroom. Yet, the food is good and it's always crowded, which might be a testament to its pros (albeit the latter might be a "con" depending on your preferences). I just came in tonight and there wasn't a long wait in front of the register (one patron), yet it took quite awhile to place my order, as the manager, a blonde man in his 30s, was fooling around with one of the employees at the front register. Two adult men. I stood there, awkwardly, for about a minute before I was even acknowledged (after asking whether I could place an order, lol). I ordered a pretty basic "two single burgers with everything"--but the manager rung them up as doubles and tried to charge me considerably more. Probably an honest mistake, but had he not been goofing off with the other employee, it probably could've been avoided. To make it more awkward, there was an off-duty employee sitting next to the register on the patron side, half in uniform, STARING at me the whole time, especially when I first walked in. It was very weird and I still have no idea what that was about. I know that it's "just Steak n Shake"...but it was unwelcoming and kinda bizarre. Next, the restroom. I have an unofficial "rule" about this I've learned from friends who are cooks: never eat at a restaurant that has a dirty restroom, as the kitchen is most likely kept the same/cleaned (or not) about as often. Well, let me say I wouldn't have eaten here if Cape Coral were the desert and I had been crawling through it looking for food and water for upwards of a week. Yuck! Dried-up feces splattered all over the backs of both toilets. I ended up just grabbing my SO's food and peacing out of there. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Well this was the first time my wife has ever been to a Steak & Shake. She had a burger with the egg on top. Tasty .Also enjoyed the unique thin fries. Me the classic triple burger dragged through the garden... GOOD but oohh so messy. mmmmmmm :-) I liked it. . The only issue was the speed. A check of time stamp , the order was made at 1034 am. We did not receive our order until 1055 am. A bit long. The place was MAYBE half full. Our server Krisiti did a great job.

If you have had a problem with the service here before, no need to go crazy. Just simply request Kevin as your server and you won't be disappointed! 12/23/14 went to Steak and Shake at 11:55 p.m to crave my hunger. upon arriving at the drive thru there was one car in front of me next to the window, after about 15 minutes the car drove off which I proceeded to come up to the window, and was greeted by the drive through teller asking me if the car in front of me I drove all which I replied yes. she left and after about a minute or two came back and proceeded to tell me that their system was down ( even though she had already taken my order) and that she was going to get my food.. she never repeated back my original order which I imagine she had known.. after another 15 minutes of not seeing her I proceeded to drive off. so in total were looking at half an hour for a burger and fries which is just ridiculous when there was nobody in front of me.. there's no reason for this and this place has really fallen off never greeted by a manager to explain anything to me and actually got a pretty dirty look from one of their waitresses name melody.. save yourself a trip go somewhere else.

This is the worst managed Steak 'n Shake I have ever visited. We stood waiting to be seated for a long time while we watched many workers taking their time frolicking around. Once we were seated we waited forever for our water and never got napkins until the meal was over and we had to ask for them. When we went up to pay we were once again ignored and had to wait to pay. I was actually tempted to walk out without paying, but resisted and waited until someone finally came to let me pay. The manager here is clueless. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Being in customer service, it's completely unprofessional not to at least greet someone and give them a time frame of service. Sat for 10+ minutes in certain situations with our menus closed I may add, with no even eye contact. No drinks, a simple hi, NOTHING. Don't mind the food, that's why we keep coming back. But no more. Not worth the aggravation. Looking around it's completely disorganized, waitresses not knowing what tables to cover. Shift trainers and managers barely doing walk arounds. On tonight's visit, we were finally asked by a shift trainer how everything was (mind you typing this comment, that's how long I was sitting along with my family) after sitting for 9 minutes with no one attending us and I made myself clear of my situation. Still no one here at this place opens their eyes. I'm done being a customer here.

I waited for 30 minutes before I left. I was seated at the counter and could watch all of the orders going out to the cars. Obviously the drive in take top priority. Unfortunately I can't talk so I can't use the drive thru. The food looked good but I never tasted it. I will not be back. The servers were great - the problem is the manager. She would not even comp my drink after I had to wait for the staff to find her (another 5 minutes) Go to Panara Bread across the street.

I enjoy the deals at Steak n Shake, which is why this is 2 stars. I've been coming here along with the other 2 locations within Lee county for several years. Unfortunately this particular location consistently makes watered down shakes in comparison to the others. They are watery the moment they are delivered, which usually takes quite awhile to receive. I've at times waited through my entire meal to receive my shake and not once been checked on by the staff. Last week I was at this location with my family and the waitress yelled at other customers to get out of her way, then rudely shouted at the table of people next to us to be quiet while she takes orders from us. Even at minimum wage, this waitress should deliver politeness to all patrons. I'm very disappointed that the manager after all this time has not addressed the issues of good service and watered down shakes.

I rather not review when I'm doing reviews this low but I would hope that my reviews would help this establishment improve for the better. Went in for breakfast. 1 waitress for the whole dining area and 4 people working the drive thru / grill. We ordered our food and a hot chocolate and a coffee. Took a little long to bring us the drinks. The food took a little long to arrive. When I was done with my coffee, it took long for them to refill it. When I went to pay, nobody was at the counter for me to pay. I only go to this establishment because it's close to home and my daughter loves the shakes and chili.
